What Is the Trading Terminal?

The trading terminal is a specialized interface that provides tools for market analysis and trade execution. It allows you to access spot and futures markets, place various types of orders, and analyze price movements in real-time.

Terminal Interface Components

Selecting a trading pair

In the upper left part of the terminal, you can select a trading pair. You can enter the ticker or filter the list by spot or futures markets. Next to the selected pair, you will find 24-hour trading statistics, including volume and rate changes.

You can add a pair to your Favourites list by clicking the star icon next to the ticker.

Please note: to enable or disable the display of selected pairs, click the gear icon in the upper right corner and adjust the slider in the Favourites List section.

Chart analysis

The chart displays the price dynamics of the selected pair. In the upper right corner of the chart area, you can switch between the base WhiteBIT chart and the TradingView chart. The TradingView option offers additional analysis tools, including technical indicators (e.g., EMA, RSI, MACD) and drawing tools to mark support and resistance levels.

You can adjust the candlestick timeframe, change the chart display type, or switch to the market depth mode. Additional features include:

  • Expanding the chart to full screen
  • Taking a screenshot by clicking the camera icon
  • Setting up price alerts by clicking the alarm icon

Please note: you can change the terminal theme from light to dark. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the website and use the switch in the Settings section.

Order book and recent trades

The order book is located on the right side and displays actual buy and sell orders in real time. It shows the market spread and allows you to adjust the price step or change the display direction (top to bottom or bottom to top).

Next to the order book is the history of recent trades, which displays:

  • Execution price
  • Transaction volume
  • Time of fulfillment

Below this area, you can find specific details about the selected trading pair, such as taker and maker fees, minimum order size, and server ping.

Order placement form

Below the order book is the form for creating orders. Here you can place buy or sell orders by selecting the appropriate type:

Order types are divided into Basic and Advanced.

Basic:

  • Limit – allows you to set the exact buy/sell price.
  • Market – executes instantly at the current market rate.

Advanced:

  • Advanced Limit – (a Limit Order with additional execution conditions: Post-only, BBO, or IOC).
    • Post-only – ensures that the order will be added to the order book as a limit order and not executed immediately.
    • BBO (Best Bid Offer) – automatically selects the best price to execute the order.
    • IOC (Immediate or Cancel) – executes the order instantly, and the unexecuted part is canceled.
  • Stop-Limit – triggers when the specified price (stop price) is reached and creates a limit order.
  • Stop-Market – turns into a Market order after the stop price is activated.
  • Multi-Limit – allows placing several Limit orders simultaneously.

To learn more about each order type, you can hover your cursor over the exclamation mark next to it, and a brief description will appear.

Orders, history, and balances

At the bottom of the page, there is a section for managing your activity. In the corresponding tabs, you can:

  • Check active orders.
  • View trading history.
  • Check account balances.

Risk Warning

Please note: Trading crypto assets involves a high degree of risk. Market volatility can result in the loss of your invested capital. Please ensure you fully understand the risks involved and the mechanics of the trading terminal before executing trades.
